What’s inside the museum?

Stepping inside the museum will make you feel as if you are in a dream. It spreads across seven floors, with each floor dedicated to different concepts. It includes concepts like climate change, space exploration, technological advancements, and more. The attractions in the Museum of the Future are divided into five chapters: OSS Hope, the Heal Institute, Al Waha, Tomorrow Today, and Future Heroes. The floors in the museum symbolize the people’s understanding of the future, like how it will look in another 50 years or so.

The Lobby

The lobby of the museum is the first thing you see when you enter this unique building, before ascending to the higher levels. The tour of the museum’s exhibitions begins here, at this jaw-dropping architectural beauty. Next, you may move on to the higher levels of the building.

Calligraphy Panels

Once you enter the museum, the spacious lobby welcomes you with animal-themed aerobes that float around the large atrium. Once you move your sight from these robot-creatures, you will see white panels that make up the roof of the museum. Furthermore, the roof features beautiful Arabic calligraphy, creating a glowing pattern in the interior of the building as it is illuminated by sunlight.

Drop pod

Once you pass the lobby, you may hop onto a drop pod that will take you to the first chapter of the museum. The first chapter is located on the fifth floor, where the drop pod will take you. Also, you may drop into the cafeteria and say ‘hello’ to the robot barista on your way to the fifth floor.

Chapter 5: Level 1: Future Heroes

The last chapter is located on the first level. This floor is dedicated to kids, who are the future of the world. In the level of “Future Heroes,” children can let their imagination run wild. It creates space for children to grow their minds with missions and games. The Museum of the Future’s goal is to develop future-proof skills in children, which will help them to change the world they live in once they grow up.

Chapter 4: Level 2: Tomorrow Today

This floor of the museum showcases the potential of technology to transform the future. It primarily consists of innovations, gadgets, and devices that will help overcome the challenges of tomorrow to shape a positive future.

Futuristic Technology

Tomorrow Today, the second level of the Museum of the Future, is dedicated to technology. It focuses on educating people about the role technology plays in transforming their way of life through a variety of exhibits displayed here. It also highlights how different people, like designers and researchers, are reacting to current technological advancements and how they can be helpful to shape a positive future.

Viewing Deck

This area takes you outside, providing stunning views of the surrounding area. It takes you through the inner shell of the museum’s magnificent architecture. Moreover, this deck offers you excellent views, allowing you to see the half curve of the museum and its surroundings.

Chapter 3: Level 3: Al Waha

Al Waha means Oasis in English. This floor is aptly named as it consists of a series of experiences intended to heal your body and mind. It is an excellent opportunity to move away from digital devices and any form of digital media, to enjoy a healing experience on this floor. It consists of “Make a Wish Pool” and “Sensory Room”. The “Make a Wish Room” has a pool where you can make a wish for the future. The “Sensory Room” works like a spa for your senses. These rooms and related activities can soothe your mind while disconnecting you from the digital world.

Chapter 2: Level 4: The Heal Institute

Chapter 2 at level 4 is “The Heal Institute”. It is where you will be welcomed with a futuristic Dubai, where you are taken to possibly the year 2071. It gives you an idea of what Dubai will look like in the near future.

The Garden

This area utilizes virtual reality and advanced augmented reality technologies to showcase an example of a genetically modified digital Amazon Forest. You can experience something like the real sights and sounds of the forest. Finally, it teaches the effects of climate change and how humans can save the planet.

Vault of Life

This is a DNA Vault that is aptly named the “Library of Life”. It is where you can find over 2000 species locked in glass jars. Here you can see even finer details of these species, those which are usually hard to see. Beautiful light illuminates these glass jars, making them a lovely sight to see.

Ecosystem Simulator

Level 4 also has an ecosystem simulator in The Heal Institute. This is a library that tests how a new species can bring a vast change to its surrounding environment.

Chapter 1: Level 5: OSS Hope

Level 5 of the museum tour is a space expedition. In this tour, you will be taken to outer space, 600 km above the Earth. Thereafter, it will take you to the OSS Hope Station. The goal of providing this experience to visitors is to highlight the possibilities of future human space travel.

Space Shuttle Simulation

The Orbital Space Station (OSS Hope), featured in Chapter 1 of the museum, is a journey that takes you to outer space. This will let any ordinary person experience what outer space feels like. The ride to space includes a space shuttle simulation, with the inclusion of realistic sounds as well. It will take you through the process that is followed during an actual space shuttle take-off. You get to experience aerial views of Dubai and see how it looks through a space shuttle.

Space Station Command Center

Once you reach the OSS Hope station, you will enter the station’s command center. Here, you can take your time to explore the space station’s missions, monitor ongoing projects, and engage in various related activities.

Pioneer Application

This mission is about hiring recruits, which you can be a part of. Moreover, you can apply for any role you wish to. Duties include Junior Bio Designer on the orbit of the earth, Asteroid Fleet Pilot, and many more.
